SMS messaging — opt-in & consent

Last updated: April 12, 2026 · Rello ("we," "us")

Program description

Rello offers optional SMS access to Copilot — the same assistant you use in the app — so you can send text messages (and, where supported, images) to interact with your family account: for example scheduling, tasks, reminders, and answers about information you already keep in Rello. Messages are transactional / conversational in nature (they support your use of the service), not marketing broadcasts.

How we collect opt-in consent

We only send SMS to users who have taken clear, affirmative steps inside the Rello product:

  • You must have a Rello account and be signed in to the app (or complete in-app flows we designate for linking your phone).
  • You voluntarily provide your mobile number and complete phone verification (e.g. one-time code) so we can confirm you control the number.
  • You explicitly enable SMS for Copilot (or equivalent labeled control in settings) so it is clear you are choosing to receive text messages from us at that number.

We do not send Copilot SMS to numbers that are not verified and enrolled through this in-app flow. If your phone is unlinked or you lose access to your account, SMS to that number stops in line with our access rules.

What messages you may receive

You may receive SMS (and, where you send MMS, related replies) such as: responses to your requests, confirmations, short follow-up questions when something needs clarification, and occasional system notices needed to complete an action you started. Message content depends on what you ask and your account data.

Frequency

Frequency is variable and driven by your use of Copilot over SMS (for example, each time you text us or continue a multi-step conversation). There is no fixed schedule of promotional texts.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt-out

You can stop SMS from this program at any time by replying STOP to a message from us (where supported by your carrier). You may also turn off SMS for Copilot or remove your verified number in Rello app settings. After you opt out, you may receive a final confirmation text. For help, reply HELP or contact support@rello.social.

Privacy

How we handle personal data — including phone numbers and message content — is described in our Privacy Policy.
